Jampot Photonics team was invited by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere for giving insights on Photonics technology to Professors and Students from Electronics and Telecommunication Department.
The session started with presentation on “Photonics Science and Technology- Introduction | Optics-Opto-Electronics-Photonics Technology | Workshops | Course offering” by Mr. Ankush Shingade. Mr. Ankush introduced audience Photonics technology, Application of Photonics, Photonics Economic Importance, Where India stands in the field of Photonics development? and Skill development activities in the field of Photonics (e.g Seminars, Workshop on Optics-Opto-Electronics-Photonics, Credit courses) by Jampot Photonics in detail.
Next presentation was on “Photonics Integrated Circuit Design (PIC) : Design and development being done by Jampot Photonics” by Mr. Amit Pisal. In this part audience got exposure to Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) design technology, What is PIC?, Why PIC?, Photonic Integrated Circuit vs Electronic Integrated Circuit, Basic building blocks of PIC, Fabrication technology and Applications of PIC. Amit also introduced professor to Jampot Photonics’s internal research and development projects like “Design and Characterization of Mach-Zehnder Interferometer”, “MMI-MZI Thermo-Optic switch”, “Design, simulation and fabrication of Acrylic based waveguides”..etc
The final presentation was on “WIISE learning : App and Web based learning solution” by Mr. Amit Sindhumkumte from Positiveshift. Mr. Amit Sindhumkumte demostrated WIISE online learning platform which provides 1000+ courses with certifications on web and app with different categories like Technology, Design, Finance, Career guide, Marketing, Technical communications..etc.
Mr. Sameer Gokhale (Founder and Director) of Jampot Photonics Pvt. Ltd had discussion with Dr.S B Deosarkar (Professor, Project Director, TEQIP III, World Bank Project) of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere regarding future scope of photonics, Necessity of Photonics credit courses and Role of industry-University collaboration for growth photonics technology in India. They had discussion on collaboration and skill development activity for students and Professors.
